IKCC Global Patient Survey on Kidney Cancer
To improve collective understanding, IKCC collaborates with Partner Organisations to develop and administer a biennial Global Patient Survey on Kidney Cancer. The survey is open to anyone who has received a diagnosis or is a carer.
The results gathered in the Global Patient Surveys help patient organisations locally and IKCC globally create evidence-based education, awareness and advocacy programs that respond to the needs of people affected by kidney cancer. Global Patient Survey results have been published in scientific manuscripts, presented at medical conferences, informed educational resources and helped guide World Kidney Cancer Day campaigns.
Here is a summary of the strategic efforts to share results through publications, presentations, and other channels that reach healthcare professionals and decision-makers.
Thank you to the patients, survivors and carers who have completed the survey. Together we are generating the evidence that will help reduce the global burden of kidney cancer.
New: The 5th IKCC Global Patient Survey on Kidney Cancer Opens 24 September
The 5th IKCC Global Patient Survey on Kidney Cancer (GPS) will be open from 24 September till 20 November 2026. People affected by kidney cancer are invited to share their experiences here.
This marks 10 years of collecting data specific to the experiences of people living with kidney cancer, providing a decade of data. It will be possible to track positive and negative trends, demonstrate changes over time, and use patient insights to guide future advocacy, education, and support programs.
The GPS is open to everyone who has lived experience with kidney cancer, whether they have received the diagnosis or are a carer to someone who has. People who completed previous surveys are invited to participate again.
The survey is available in 18 languages and can be found at this link: https://bit.ly/IKCC_Kidney_Cancer_Global_Survey
