Carmen Vallejo Auste

Carmen Vallejo Auste is a seasoned international development consultant with 40 years of leadership and project management experience. She has led regional and country-level initiatives in the health and development ecosystems.
Bringing her professional knowledge and experience to her advocacy work, Carmen holds the role of CEO at Cancer Warriors, a patient advocacy group founded by her son after he survived a rare form of brain cancer as a teen. Carmen also represents civil society in the National Integrated Cancer Control Council, is a co-founding member and the Vice President of Cancer Coalition Philippines and is the Vice President of the Philippines Health Research Ethics Board.
Carmen is a dedicated advocate for patient rights focused on equitable, patient-centred care and well-being. She is committed to bringing her passion and experience to support IKCC’s efforts in advocacy, stakeholder engagement and resource mobilisation to help expand IKCC’s impact and reach globally, and across the Asia Pacific region.
