IKCC Rome Conference and Beyond

March 11-13, 2012

From March 11-13, kidney cancer organizations from around the world met in Rome, Italy to discuss shared issues and work towards solutions on a global level. We came to Rome “with our heads and our hearts open” to share our information and ideas with others, and learn from groups around the world where patients are facing similar issues with kidney cancer.

Patient advocacy groups from 19 countries across 5 continents met in Frankfurt/Germany for an innovative conference, “EXPANDING CIRCLES in Supporting Kidney Cancer”, from Sept 10 – 12. Delegates from national patient support and advocacy organizations met for the first time to exchange best practices among national groups and work together on projects of international interest to the kidney cancer community.

IKCC Conference 2010 Frankfurt

The International Kidney Cancer Coalition’s first Annual Conference, “Expanding Circles”

September 10-12, 2010

Frankfurt, Germany.

Present at the meeting were cancer advocates from 5 continents. The countries present represented vastly different cultures, values, and medical delivery systems. IKCC recognizes and respects this diversity and feels that it will become one of its strengths. IKCC is a network of independent kidney cancer patient support groups from around the world. It is be patient driven and patient focused.
