Marta Szulc has joined IKCC as its first-ever Executive Director. She brings a wealth of relevant experience to lead IKCC and pursue the organisation’s mission of reducing the burden of kidney cancer worldwide through initiatives and collaboration with Affiliate Organisations, healthcare professionals and the global kidney cancer community.

“As IKCC continues to grow and mature organisationally, the strategic decision was made to expand the team, and in turn the impact we can have in the global cancer community,” said Dr Rachel Giles, IKCC Board Chair. “After a comprehensive global search, we are thrilled Marta will be joining us in this newly created role, bringing her patient-centred thinking and healthcare experience to IKCC.”

Marta was born in Warsaw, Poland. She started her career working with a number of patient organisations focused on multiple sclerosis, lung cancer and digestive cancers. After she built her career in healthcare and communications, she moved with her husband, three children and two dogs to the Netherlands in 2016 to work in the global headquarters of Nutricia (Danone). In 2019, she left the corporate world and joined a boutique consultancy shiftN – ‘Clarity in Complexity’, based in Belgium, focused on strategic innovation and systems thinking.
