Caleb Egwuenu, BSc

Board Member, Patient Organisation Representative, Nigeria

Caleb Egwuenu is a passionate patient advocate with over 17 years of experience in cancer advocacy, including more than 14 years dedicated specifically to kidney cancer. Complementing his role on IKCC’s Board of Directors, Caleb is also a member of the Patient Advocacy Committee of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer and served as a Patient Advocate Chair for the 2024 World Lung Cancer Conference.

Outside of his advocacy work, Caleb is a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of a travel tech startup that is redefining airline distribution across Africa. His career experiences bring a unique perspective to the table – combining entrepreneurial drive with a deep commitment to healthcare advocacy.

Driven by a personal connection to the kidney cancer community, Caleb joined the IKCC Board to represent the voices of patients from Africa, where kidney cancer is often overlooked. He is dedicated to bringing greater awareness and resources for kidney cancer research, with the goal of improving patient outcomes across the world.
