Bryan Lewis is a dedicated legislative advocate and policy spokesman for the kidney cancer community, actively championing the cause in Washington, D.C., and across the United States. In 2017, he spearheaded efforts to secure $10 million in funding for the inaugural Kidney Cancer Research Program (KCRP) under the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP). Through continued advocacy, KCRP funding has grown to $285 million by 2024, significantly enhancing research dedicated to kidney cancer.
Committed to accelerating cures for kidney cancer, Bryan currently holds the position of President of KidneyCAN, a grassroots patient-created organization, and, since 2020, serves on the National Cancer Institute’s Renal Task Force (NCI NIH). Prior to these roles, he was Vice President of Operations & General Counsel for Brand USA in Washington, D.C., overseeing the organisation’s day-to-day operations, and served as Chief of Staff & General Counsel for the U.S. Travel Association, a major Washington, D.C.-based trade association.
As a multi-year kidney cancer survivor, Bryan brings his personal experiences to IKCC and is committed to reducing the global burden of kidney cancer.
