New fun technology raises the serious issue of Kidney Cancer

What can I do for Q&A Day?

Leading up to the second World Kidney Cancer Day in 2018, local kidney cancer Ambassadors will ask you to join the global kidney cancer community to “Kiss off Kidney Cancer”.

Our green-lipped Quiz Master guides us through the quiz to raise awareness of kidney cancer, why kidney cancer is on the increase and what the early warning signs are. More importantly we learn how early detection of kidney cancer may help with survival.

You can help us by answering the simple 7 question quiz at

  • Use your smartphone or tablet to do the quiz, and be rewarded with a fun ‘green kiss’ selfie to share with your results, to your social media network.
  • Complete the quiz on your computer or laptop, and share your results with your friends on social media, asking friends to do the same.

It is so important to reach the many who are unaware of the increasing numbers developing kidney cancer across the globe.

Together we are working towards slowing the growth of this silent killer.

Whether you’re a patient, carer, health professional, or just want to help, check out our Q&A Day resources and help spread the word. The quiz has been translated into eight languages as well as English: Dutch, French, German, Greek, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil) and Spanish.

Kidney cancer is a silent disease and one of the fastest growing cancers in the world. This steady rise in the incidence of kidney cancer is a global health risk, and the International Agency for Research on Cancer projects a 22% increase from 338,000 in 2012 to 413,000 cases annually by 2020*. Explanations are incomplete, but experts point to risk factors such as aging, obesity, high blood pressure and smoking.

World Kidney Cancer Q&A Day is an initiative of the International Kidney Cancer Coalition and is held annually to raise global awareness of Kidney Cancer.
